When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.
When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.

WELCOME TO THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF WOLF AND BEAR
Hi! We're Kyria and Nigel Smith, the creative duo known as Wolf and Bear. While Kyria spends her time playing with Micron pens and gouache paint, Nigel works his magic with graphic design and helps out behind the scenes. Our home base is a small farm in Boyne City, MI, where we spend lots of time enjoying nature, playing Nintendo, and cozying up with books or graphic novels. We've also just begun dabbling in cosplay as a new way to explore our creative abilities!
We live in a little home we built ourselves that is slowly getting filled with houseplants and cats. Our inspirations include fantasy, nature, sci-fi, dinosaurs, space, houseplants, felines, foxes and other creatures of the enchanted world, and all things magical.
We sell original artwork, high quality giclée print reproductions, stickers, bookmarks, rainbow suncatchers, postcards, and apparel (only available online).
Kyria is currently working on an art series and potential graphic novel/book entitled Tales from the Enchanted World. It follows the journey of a adventurer named Hero (who is also a cat, because I'm obsessed with cats). It's a way for me to explore my love of world building, and at the moment I'm just enjoying getting to know the characters and dreaming up lore. A lot of my art in the coming year will come from this world, as well as a parallel story/world I'm working on that centers around a young artist who is the author of Tales from the Enchanted World and uses the process of creating it to face her own delay struggles with anxiety, depression, and loss. There are layers! :D
Nigel has been more behind the scenes with Wolf and Bear until recently, doing branding and other design work. However, in the past year he’s been finding a stylistic voice of his own. He is currently working on an art piece of a samurai bear riding a dinosaur, as well as a series with the working title of ‘Monsters in Tokyo’. It’s essentially a collection of giant creatures of various origins smashing, trashing, and destroying.
We care about producing quality art and protecting the environment, so rest assured, we've done our homework to ensure that you can buy from us with a clean conscience. We do our best to use recycled and sustainably sourced materials where possible.
All of our packaging is sustainable, from our 100% chipboard pads to the info sheet we include in our orders. Our Noissue tissue paper and stickers are eco-friendly, and our cardboard mailers from EcoEnclose are 100% recycled. Even the clear sleeves we use to protect our shipped artwork are compostable! Like we said, we aim to look after you and this precious planet we call home.
